Rebellion Road Studios was founded in Charleston, SC in 2005 by Julia Levy. Originating as a recording studio Rebellion Road has progressed into a stage for Julia's visual work, ranging from photography and film to theatre and production.
Julia Levy, NYC-based filmmaker/producer/director and actor hails from Charleston, SC. She was introduced to the arts early in her life. She went on to study Media Communications and graduated from the College of Charleston. Having an artistic mother inspired Julia to pursue photography both in school and afterwards. She has done commercial photography in and around the Charleston and New City areas, focusing primarily on the fashion and the music industries.
Julia developed a passion for Theatre and Film at an early age. She studied acting locally with Nick Smith of the Actors Theatre of South Carolina and Rodney Lee Rogers of Pure Theatre. Recently she was involved in productions of The Pillowman with Pure Theatre, Clandestine Films’ Cold Soldiers, as well as the Zach Braff directed music video “Know When To Walk Away.”
